Wind Uses More Carbon Than It Saves
Todd says:
The majority of wind farms in Scotland pay back all of the carbon created during supply and construction of a project within the first 12 months, while those built within some particularly peat-heavy areas take a longer time but still measured in years rather than decades. Deep peat, as an aside, is avoided whenever and wherever possible not just because it is a significant carbon sink, but because it is expensive and complicated to build on.
