Stanley Baxter

STANLEY BAXTER is a celebrated Scottish actor, comedian and impressionist, best known for his television specials and theatrical performances. Born on May 24, 1926, in Glasgow, Baxter gained fame in the 1950s with his sharp wit, impeccable mimicry, and larger-than-life performances. He became a household name through his elaborate and extravagant TV variety shows, particularly the Stanley Baxter Show and the Stanley Baxter Picture Show, which earned him a reputation for groundbreaking comedy and satire. Renowned for his dazzling impersonations of iconic figures and his flair for flamboyant costumes, Baxter pushed the boundaries of television entertainment.
