Rebecca Johnson
REBECCA JOHNSON is an international peace and justice campaigner, widely recognized for her contributions to global efforts promoting disarmament and human rights. Holding a PhD in multilateral diplomacy from the prestigious London School of Economics (LSE), her expertise spans across international relations, diplomacy and civil society engagement. Her recent book, Unfinished Business, published by the United Nations in 2009, provides an in-depth analysis of the strategies employed by civil society and governments to achieve the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (CTBT). The book explores the ongoing challenges and efforts to bring the treaty into full force, emphasising the importance of global cooperation and activism in advancing disarmament goals. Through her work, she continues to advocate for peace, justice and the prevention of armed conflict, making significant contributions to international diplomatic and policy-making arenas.
