Q & A with Archie Macpherson

NAT EDWARDS has accumulated over 20 years of experience working in museums, galleries and archives, where his passion lies in bringing history to life for diverse audiences. With an academic background in English and theatre, Nat initially pursued studies in the arts but found himself captivated by the world of museums—particularly the untold stories hidden in their archives and basements. His career has focused on creating engaging exhibitions and events that connect the public with history in innovative ways.
Currently, Nat holds a position at the National Library of Scotland, where he plays a pivotal role in curating and managing cultural projects. In addition to his work there, he serves as a director of the Scottish Museums Council, contributing to strategic decisions that shape the future of the museum sector in Scotland.
Outside of his professional life, Nat is an accomplished martial artist. He holds a 3rd Dan rank in Kendo.
