Maoilios Caimbeul

Myles is a recognised Scottish poet and writer, with his work appearing in publications such as Northwords Now and Steall. He lives on the Isle of Skye, where he is from. He writes mostly in Gaelic, although some of his anthologies are available in English translations. He graduated from The University of Edinburgh in 1976 having studied Celtic Studies and History. His interests lie in superstition, miracles, science and religion.

He is a highly acclaimed author and poet, having won two Gaelic Books Council prizes, the National Mòd Bardic Crown, Wigtown Prize, among many more. Besides short stories, Myles Campbell publishes fiction, and children’s fiction, the most recent being An Tiùir agus Lùbag by Acair in 2016.
