Darren McGarvey

DARREN MCGARVEY, also known by his stage name Loki, grew up in the Pollok area of Glasgow. He is a versatile writer, performer, and columnist, and formerly served as a rapper-in-residence with Police Scotland's Violence Reduction Unit.

McGarvey has delved into issues of social inequality, poverty and violence through various media. He has presented eight documentaries for BBC Scotland, where he explored the underlying causes of anti-social behaviour, social deprivation and other societal challenges facing communities in Scotland.
