About the Book:

In 2012, the ancient honour of Perth was restored when it became a city again. Jeremy Duncan narrates Perth’s journey from city to town and back again, providing a revealing insight into the character of Perth and its people. With a collection of archive and modern images and newspaper reports, Duncan’s thoroughly researched account covers every aspect of Perth life taking the reader on a remarkable journey from past to present.

So, with a great sense of hope, and some sadness, and with the concerns, successes and failures of everyday folk, Perth set off on what blurb writers might describe as a roller-coaster ride of ups and downs, twists and jolts, through the 20th century.

About the Author:
