About the Author:

JANEY GODLEY, Scotland’s international cultural phenomenon, has grown from a successful stand-up comedian – who has won comedy awards in the UK and New Zealand – to an internet sensation and bestselling author. In 2016, she came to viral internet fame – or infamy – with her Trump is a C**t stunt in. Today she has over 50 million online hits for her iconic voiceover videos, while her weekly podcasts get over 40,000 hits worldwide.

She is known for her contributions to the STV Children’s Appeal, raising money through comic voiceover videos of First Minister Nicola Sturgeon. She recently became part of the Scottish Government’s ‘Stop the Spike’ Covid 19 awareness campaign.

Brought up in the East End of Glasgow, she is best known for her “gallus Glesga interpretations” (Daily Record) and for her many TV appearances, most recently ‘Just a Minute’, ‘Have I Got News For You’, ‘Des Clarke’s Breaking the News’ and starring in comedy short ‘Dregs’ as part of BBC Scotland’s New Comedy Commissions
