A rèir an leabhair ùir, ‘The Gaelic Crisis in the Vernacular Community’, thuirt a’ BhBC nach bi “coimhearsnachdan Gàidhlig sam bith air fhàgail ann an Alba an ceann deich bliadhna”. Thug an naidheachd seo agus an leabhar ùr orm a bhith a’ smaoineachadh mu na dòighean a ‘s urrainn dhuinn casg a chuir air seo agus na rudan a ‘s urrainn dhuinn a dhèanamh gus a’ Ghàidhlig a leasachadh.

Ged a tha an suidheachadh san t-saoghal an-dràsta fhèin a-mach às an àbhaist air sgàth a’ chorona bhìoras, tha dòighean ann airson ar sgilean Gàidhlig a leasachadh aig an taigh. Ach, ciamar a ghabhas sin a dhèanamh?

Headlined in the BBC was the statement that “Gaelic is at risk of dying by the end of the decade” according to the newly released book ‘The Gaelic Crisis in the Vernacular Community’. This news made me think about the ways that we can prevent this and the things we can do to improve Gaelic.

Although we are currently in a strange situation as a result of the Corona Virus, there are many ways in which we can improve our Gaelic skills from home.
