To celebrate Book Week Scotland, and St Andrew’s Day on Friday, we thought it would be good to get discussing brilliant books with all of our followers. To give you all a wee incentive, we are giving away a Special Edition hardback copy of David Purdie’s controversial adaptation of Scott’s classic historical novel: Sir Walter Scott’s Ivanhoe: Newly Adapted for the Modern Reader. And, as if that wasn’t enough, we are also going to give the lucky winner an excellent £10 e-Gift Voucher to spend on anything they like on our website!
One runner-up will also receive a £5 e-Gift Voucher to spend on www.luath.co.uk!
How to enter:
All you need to do to be in with a chance of winning these fantastic prizes, is to join in on our discussion on Twitter, using the hashtags #myscotbook and #BWS2012.
Tweet the title of your favourite book by a Scottish author, the author’s name, and include the hashtags. Thats all you need to do to enter!
Tweet entries will be accepted from Monday 26th November 2012 until Midday Thursday 29th November 2012.
What happens next:
After this, all entries will be collated and added to a poll on the Luath Press Facebook page. The suggestion from Twitter with the most votes will win the prize!
The poll will run on Facebook from shortly after Midday on Thursday, until 5PM on Friday 30th November 2012, St Andrews Day.
Terms:
Where more than one person has nominated the same book, the winners will be selected at random from those people. If this occurs, the runner-up will be selected from the winning suggestion, otherwise this will be from the second-placed suggestion.
You may suggest as many books as you like, and they will be treated as separate entries. Multiple entries suggesting the same book, will be counted as a single entry.
You must include the hashtags #myscotbook and #BWS2012 in your tweet to be eligible to win.
No entries after Midday Thursday 29th November 2012 will be accepted.
Failing a conclusive result, winners will be selected at random. This random selection by Luath Press is final.
Prize winners will be contacted via Twitter on Friday 30th November 2012. Winners must get in touch with Luath Press via a Twitter Direct Message, or by e-mail within seven days, to provide their address for the book to be sent to and/or e-mail address for the e-Gift voucher to be sent to. Failure to do so will lead to the prize being forfeited.
e-Gift Vouchers will be valid for use for a maximum of six-months from date of issue. The balance of these is non-transferrable, and can only be used against purchases on Luath.co.uk.
